A Really Unforgettable Summer

This summer with CEF was exhausting for us, but also really, really good. We started in June with Summer
Team Training, which was hugely successful, in my opinion. We saw God answering prayers and working in the lives of our missionaries to mature them in some areas and to challenge them in others. Our camp weeks, mostly at Gateway Church, began in July. They were fantastic—over 250 children reached, with many salvation decisions and
other great opportunities for counseling and prayer with kids who shared heavy burdens and needs. Our team reached
178 children through 5-Day Clubs as well, which is a pretty high number for us in recent years.
 
Financially God has been doing some unforgettable things too. The camp archery project ended up with more than double the goal, so we were able to upgrade to new bows, as well as arrows, targets, and miscellaneous archery supplies. The camp kids loved the upgraded equipment, and it was cool to watch them be successful at this. The cost of the week of our Summer Team Training was almost completely covered by a gift from just one church; the rest came in quickly from a few supporters. And just this week our total Summer Fund Goal has been completely met!
 
We are really thankful for God's provision in every way. Seeing Him provide everything we need encourages us to continue to reach out to kids with the Gospel each summer.
