Summer

CAMP GOOD NEWS

CEF offers two great Day Camps every summer: Camp Good News for those who have finished grades 2-6, and Kiddie Camp, geared to age 4, kindergarten, and first grade. All camps are staffed by volunteers, summer interns, and full-time staff. All staff comply with CEF's “Our Beliefs” and Child Abuse Policies, as well as PA State requirements.

The purpose of our day camps matches that of the ministry as a whole - to reach boys and girls with the good news of Jesus and to encourage the believing child in a walk of faith. Day camp is an exceptional place for this to happen, with excitement, fun, high energy, team spirit, and sincere, caring leaders and teachers.

5-Day-Club

5- Day Clubs are held for five consecutive days during the summer months in community areas, day cares, and homes. They are part of our summer short-term missions and are led by trained high school and college-age young people and adults. In line with our purpose, the 5-Day Club is a place for children to hear the Gospel and for believing children to be challenged to grow in their walk with the Lord. The club also introduces the children to the mission field that is all around them and in other countries around the world.

Short-Term Summer Missions

SUMMER MISSIONARY MINISTRY OPPORTUNITY

High school and college-age young people are given a unique opportunity to experience missions first-hand. Summer Missionaries are leaders in Camp Good News and Kiddie Camp. They also work in teams to teach 5-Day Clubs throughout Chester County. This is a 6-week commitment that includes specialized training and salary.

DAY CAMP SUMMER INTERN

Day Camp Team Leader is a four-week commitment to receive training and be part of the leadership at Camp Good News and Kiddie Camp. It is also a salaried position.

VOLUNTEER DAY CAMP STAFF

Each summer, CEF recruits many teens and adults to volunteer as Camp Good News and Kiddie Camp staff. Volunteers may serve for one to four weeks. For Camp Good News, volunteers must be age 14 and up. For Kiddie Camp, volunteers can be as young as 12.

All paid staff and volunteers comply with CEF's Our Beliefs and Child Abuse Policies, as well as PA State requirements.
